With Rest Your Mind, the duo Steve Fox and Matt Bell showcase their superb production skills, while australian singer Kyla Sexton presents an outstanding vocal performance, making it a wonderful piece of music that will stand the test of time.
The single come in the form of 04 (four) different takes. Kyla's Beach-Ball Mix is a marvellous neo-soul version featuring a masterly orchestration and funky guitar licks and solos. Matt's Jazzy Twist is exactly what the name says, a splendid jazzy jam that resembles a live recording.
DeejayKul from Xtrasolar Records takes the tune to a whole new level, adding eletronic elements over subtle precussion. Rounding the pack, Nayre Wiclef, resident DJ of the weekly Grooveland Sessions @ Mentha Lounge/Rio de Janeiro, debuts as a producer contributing a magnificent interpretation full of brazilian flavas.
