Since Edground launched Grooveland Music back in July 2006 with the now classic "Afrika" by eDeep, Brazil's leading house music label has put out fifteen timeless releases, placing themselves among the most respected house labels on the planet.

With "Grooves de uma Nação" ("Grooves of a Nation"), the label presents their first ever compilation including past, present and future releases selected by label honcho Edground. From their first release "Afrika" by eDeep over KC Jackson's "All things praise", Dom Navarra's "So lonely", BSC's "Eu Soul" to "Dema" by Jay Tripwire, this is a fantastic retrospective of the labels back catalogue.

After almost one year in the works, Grooveland Music finally unleashes the fresh and future club-hit Jump, produced by Brazilian Soul Crew and featuring Allegra Bryn.

The project comes your way as a massive package of not less than 15 mixes to choose from, starting with the energetic yet soulful BSC original mixes. Dave Lynam returns to Grooveland Music camp and delivers two groovy rubs, and a club-oriented vocal mix and a oldskool dub version.

Brazilian maestro Eddie Valdez comes correct once again, with a classy discofied interpretation. IOSupastar (formely from 2 Brother of Soul) takes Jump into the deep and dark territories. Finally, the talented Douglas Marques from Rio de Janeiro present us a simple yet effective take, with catchy a key that goes along just perfect with Allegra's vocals.

Grooveland’s latest is a frisky little number with a strong package of mixes. The “Original” is supported by versions from Eddie Valdez, Douglas Marques, IOSupastar and Dave Lynam with each remixer leaving their own mark on proceedings. Depending on the circumstances, any of the mixes will do a more than useful job but for me it would be the “Eddie Valdez Mix” for bar play or casual listening and “Dave Lynam’s Soulogic Dub” for maximum response on the floor.
